coffee break research: data protection networks

At the Trilateral offices last week I picked up a package containing this mug. It's made by the New Zealand Privacy Commissioner to mark the recent international conference of data protection and privacy commissioners in Mauritius. One side features a diagram I put together for the PHAEDRA project showing the overlapping membership of various international networks of privacy commissioners.

I've never had my research on a mug before. I'm geekily pleased about this, but had I known, I might have changed the colours about a bit.

PHAEDRA, which was all about identifying examples if good and bad cooperation betweens DPAs and assisting with the former, has its final conference in Krakow on Friday, but the follow up project is due to kick off in January.
